Job Summary
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the logistics and supply chain functions, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods. This role involves managing warehouse staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, coordinating transportation and delivery schedules, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations. The Logistics Supervisor works closely with procurement, sales, and production teams to streamline processes and support overall business objectives. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate logistics and warehouse personnel to maintain productivity and high performance.
- Monitor stock levels, conduct regular audits, and ensure inventory accuracy through proper documentation and cycle counts.
- Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring cost-effective and timely transportation.
- Identify opportunities to streamline logistics operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on PPC advertising, SEO, and social media marketing.
- Proficiency in logistics and inventory management systems (e.g., WMS, ERP platforms like SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to drive actionable insights.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, reporting, etc.).
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in logistics or supply chain (e.g., APICS CPIM/CSCP, CLTD, Lean Six Sigma, or CILT) is a plus.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime if required.
